A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

I’m Lina Rasikh, founder of Dari Wonders Academy. My journey with Dari-Farsi began in Afghanistan, where language and culture played a central role in our lives. After relocating to the United States, I was approached by several Afghan families who recognized the importance of preserving their heritage and asked me to teach their children Dari. As I began teaching, I became more involved with Afghan communities and quickly realized how crucial it is to learn our mother tongue to stay connected to our roots and culture. Despite the challenges of balancing a full-time job and studying Health Science, I was committed to creating an Academy that addresses the cultural and linguistic needs of our community. After over a year of dedicated work, we developed content designed to make learning Dari accessible and engaging for new learners.

I would like to express my gratitude to Nasrin Mawlany, our Program Director, who played a key role in designing our Dari curriculum. Her talent and dedication have been invaluable in shaping our content. Inspired by a desire to empower Afghan girls, I also aim to provide them with meaningful employment as Dari teachers, helping them support themselves while sharing the language. I am proud to announce the launch of Dari Wonders Academy, where you can learn Dari online from anywhere. By joining us, you reconnect with your roots and create opportunities for young, educated Afghans affected by the current situation in Afghanistan. I’m excited to lead this initiative and build a community that preserves and celebrates our language and culture.
